Lanzhou University held 2018 Nursing Skill Contest
The 2018 Nursing Skills Contest of Lanzhou University, sponsored by the School of Medicine and organized by the Second Hospital, was held at the Second Hospital. Vice President and Dean of the School of Medicine Li Yumin attended the event. The opening ceremony was hosted by Zhang Wenfang, Deputy Dean of the Second Hospital.
As Li Yumin said, the medical workers must unite their thoughts and actions to build the “Double First-class” university, and promote the development of hospitals and medical disciplines with the first-class service and technology; affiliated hospitals and the School of Nursing should take the responsibility and mission of training nursing staff, strengthen and improve the training quality of nursing staff through multi-channels and approaches, and establish the characteristics of nursing training.
Wang Chen, Dean of the Second Hospital, gave an opening address. Yu Anli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Dean of the School of Medicine, read out the rules of the contest.
- The contest featured three operating skills, e.g. closed intravenous injection, ECG monitoring and one-person hand only CPR. One hundred and ten players from 8 affiliated hospitals and mandated hospitals participated in the contest.
